After 40 wonderful years of serving our community, we have regretfully made the very difficult decision to either sell or close F&M Fabrics & TheFabricMarket.com

This decision has not been made lightly. Owners Marcel and Floraea are currently facing a series of health challenges that have made it increasingly difficult to continue operating the business.

​

Marcel was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. The treatments are ongoing and have taken a significant toll on his health and energy. Due to his compromised immune system and medical restrictions, he is no longer able to assist around the store as he once did and cannot lift anything over five pounds.

 

Floraea suffers from chronic arthritis in her hands, hips, and knees, causing her to live with constant pain on a daily basis.

 

For many years, Marcel has been the driving force behind F&M Fabrics, personally handling much of the day-to-day operations. The combined demands of cancer treatment and running a business full-time have simply become more than they can manage, especially at this stage of their lives.

​

Their son, Dragos, moved to Oklahoma several years ago and has since opened his own fabric store. While he remains supportive, the distance makes it impossible for him to assist with the daily operations of F&M Fabrics.

​

We understand how important this store is to our customers, local businesses, sewing enthusiasts, and the community as a whole. That understanding is what makes this decision so difficult.

​

At this time, we are actively entertaining offers and would love to see F&M Fabrics continue under new ownership. Our hope is to find someone who understands the value of this store, appreciates its place in the community, and is willing to carry on its legacy.

​

We are also fortunate to have an outstanding team of experienced employees who would welcome the opportunity to remain with the business and continue managing the day-to-day operations.
